A shaman knows the difference, between peace and truth. Very hard for most people, but subtley, one has managed to unite the worlds of conscience and reason - not normal but supernatural to do this. This is because intellect separates those faculties. It is like having a spare brain, or heart, if you like.

Deep truth is honest, ordinary truth is sound. One will be self-honest in death and a shaman knows only that. A battle with insanity ensues, follow from that and you get a clear cut will to stay exactly who you are. Yes, a shaman does not see imperfection in humans being.
