A course that is well-designed on paper can be completely useless if the method of instruction does not fit a student. Some people learn best from examples, others from reading, some from seeing others perform the task, and still others from working one-on-one with an instructor. This can drastically affect the value of online education where the options are limited to these kinds of resources. If one of these methods does not work for a student, the student can seek help from tutors, guidance counselors, or even pay someone to take the online class for them. I am interested in your opinions about this matter. What kind of learning resource do you find most helpful in understanding difficult concepts? Does watching a lecture, reading notes, having a personal tutor, or using a discussion forum have the biggest impact on your education?
