Why so much spam? Are these bots posting the spam?

Looks like it   I clear it whenever I log on here to look..   Not sure if there are any spamfilters available or not.

  The spam is sent by bots, several of the captcha verification systems have been cracked, including this one it seems.  I will be adding some additional verification methods to make the site secure from spam again, probably later this month.

I have a technical question today. Is it possible to change my user name so that if my name get's googled it does not lead people to my quite personal queries on this website ? Can I change my username to, say, Sabrina, rather than SabrinaWakefield ? I should have thought about this from the beginning. I sometimes get googled, work related, and don't want anyone other than likeminded people to have access to the information I have given, as it is quite personal.

Can you help ?

  You cannot change your username that you login with, but you can set your display name to whatever you want and all of your past posts will update automatically.
