I have no kids and I've yet to be married or anything as such. But twins skip a few generations on both sides of my family, it's supposed to be my generation next. But before I found that out I always thought I would have twins. A while ago i had a dream where i walked into a lovely house, honestly, it was the way I've always hoped for my house to look, but I walked inside and these two very young kids came running up to me. they were twins, I knew that they were three and that they were mine before they hugged me tight and called me "mommy". I held both of their hands and walked towards the hallway a little bit more before a turned the corner and smiled at me. I knew that he was their father and my husband, I loved him and he loved me very much. But after I hugged him, I started getting really sad and I wanted to cry. I looked down at my kids, kissed and hugged them both and when I looked up, we were near the door. My husband wrapped his arms around my waist, kissed me good bye and then my kids grabbed onto my legs and kept telling me not to go, and to not leave them. My husband squatted down and held his arms out, pulled our kids into his arms and told them that mommy would be again soon. I was sobbing when I walked out of the door. After I got outside the door and saw the yard, I woke up. I woke up to feel that my face was wet and I was still crying, I was very upset that I couldn't hold onto my family. I really just wanted to be held by the man from my dreams and tuck my twins into their bed.

It's been quite awhile since the dream. Do you think it means anything?
Music is my refuge. I can crawl into the spaces between the notes and curl my back to the world.

Hi Kat,
I know from my own dreams and my work as a therapist that dreams always mean something.
In fact dreams, especially of an activated unconscious, illuminate the journey, inward and outward and more.
Your interpretation of your dream is the most important one, the dream interpreter merely helps you develop it more, check out that you have not missed important details etc etc.
You might first have a stab at interpreting this yourself and sharing it and that interpretation with a psychotherapist who works with dreams, who you relate to.
To do this effectively one should be prepared to engage frankly with such a person, because you have now entered `sacred space`'.

Gregory is correct, the best person to interpret the dream is the dreamer.

This seems like a fantasy wish fulfillment dream to me, no real meaning but to remind you of where your passion is, whats most important to you.

"If fantasy needs to take flight to show you where your passion is, wow..fancy! what your imagination can do, when you ground it again ::)!".

Kat, what a beautiful dream. I am an identical twin and your dream just made me feel so good for you.
