Libido / Sex Drive

I used to be an active contributor to this site many years ago. I am very happy to be back.

I am now 36 years old and dont practice much in the way of spirituality. I used to be a masseur and cranio sacral therapist and a lot of my focus was on energy work. This doesnt have much relevance to my question...

To cut a long story short I am concerned about my lack of sex drive and Im wondering if it is to do with my lack of meditation and spiritual care. Low energy in the lower chakras?!?

I havent had sex for about 8 months and I dont really think about it at all. My single friends give a lot of attention to pursuing women for sexual pleasure and I used to be a lot more like that.

I've been busy working and focussed on building stability in my life after the break up of a long relationship and serious financial issues.

Through out my adult life I have never really thought about sex very much unless Im having it and then there has been no question that I am a passionate and sexual man. Its just that when Im not having it I dont think about it at all.

Any thoughts  / ideas would be much appreciated.

  My sense is that this is not a spiritual problem but a physical-environmental one.  Your testosterone is low, partly due to insufficuent heavy load bearing exercise but mostly because you are exposed to too much estrogen in your diet and environment.  Soy has a ton of estrogen and definitely lowers male libido, but all sorts of other products from pesticide on foods to some types of plastic food packaging contain phytoestrogens and xenoestrogens that affect you in all sorts of ways.
