Hello everyone.  I am looking for some advice.  For the past couple of years I have had the snake like kundalini movement in my body.  It's like a snake that goes around my spine up into my head and makes me wiggle and move around much like the people in this video...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7Hidj1OGcE

I've been experiencing severe mental and emotional problems during this time as well as debilitating fatigue and digestive problems.  Is this common for people who have active kundalini?  What I'm experiencing in my body (the snake like movement) is kundalini right?  If so what it it's goal and purpose, and is there anything I should or shouldn't do?

I have the movements in my body all throughout the day which makes it undesirable to be out in public.  I can more or less control them but my head and neck always jerk around and when I'm at home which is most of the time now I spend a lot of time on the ground wiggling around letting this movement do it's thing.

I am basically debilitated mentally.  I have chronic depersonalization, feeling like I am locked in a fixed trance state, have trouble thinking logically, and discerning between appropriate and inappropriate.  Emotionally I am very unstable also.  I act immature and am aware of it but I can't help it because it's difficult for me to think rationally.

If anyone can please help me or shed some light on my experiences I would be very grateful.  What I want to know is, is what I am experiencing (the snake like movement in my body) - is that what kundalini is?  Is it dangerous?  Is there anything I should do or shouldn't do?  Could it be what's causing my mental problems?  Is altered states of consciousness a common side affect of kundalini?

Much thanks for reading.  If someone can please respond I will be very grateful.

Jeff

Surfingisfun,

I noticed this post and your similar post of a few weeks ago. I don't have all of your answers, but can share some of my experiences. My experience has not been "snake like" body movements.  Early on there were body shakes (like fevor chills), but mostly vibrations. Rarely during meditation or sleep, I get an automatic body movement (seems to straighten my spine). For me, the vibrations have always come with a sence of "peace".

My emotional experiences have been positive, but it is very common for people to have emotional challenges as they release "stuff".  Also, detachment and spaceyness is common when you have energy starting to flow to the upper chakras.

Only you can decide what you are experiencing, but do you do any type of meditation? Also, I recommend that you try the grounding meditation on this site.  It can be a huge help.

Peace.

Sigmund

Sorry to hear of your suffering, surfingisfun.  I know what you're going through.  It appears that your k is working you.  Best to surrender all your reactions as they occur and not try to manipulate your k.  Manipulating it makes it much worse since you'd be in the way and working against how it's unfolding you.

As Jeff mentioned, grounding will be helpful especially when it doesn't seem active.  Try grounding with the animation provided on this site - http://kundalini-teacher.com/meditations/gr_anim.php?searchresult=1&sstring=grounding  If your k is moving, let it.  Doing even this grounding while it is, goes against its grain and you pay the price.

K shakes you when it hits energy blocks and energy that you hold in your body.  It also shakes you when it hits the spots that you hold as you unfold, too.

Check this out and see if it resonates with you.  It smooths out rough unfoldings.  I should know.   - http://kundalini-teacher.com/initiations/tummo.php?searchresult=1&sstring=tummo

Blessings.

What do you mean by manipulate it?  How would I manipulate it?

I feel like I have brain damage from this.  My head is like a rubix cube with different rows that are always twisting and jerking, popping, and cracking.  My brain feels like it's sitting in my head sideways and my jaws are completely off centered from this.  My face is off centered from it too and my bite is way off.  Is this alright, and will this go away when the movements stop?

When I read through the Fire Tummo I started to feel a warmth, even before reading at the bottom that you wrote "you may even feel it from reading my writings."  I also felt the most intense sexual energy from reading one of Mystress's pages.  It was great, lol.  This site is interesting.

So is the purpose of the body movements to clear energy blocks?  And is that why I am suffering so severely mentally?  If feels like I am reliving my subconscious, or in a spirit realm/4th dimension.  Is the suffering I am experiencing mentally from the kundalini moving through the energy blocks? When do the movements end, do they?  Do they end by the kundalini going up the spine and out the head?  If so can you help me do this?

I just want to be able to think clearly again.  I can't function at all because of this.  I didn't even know what it was for 4 years, I thought I had schizophrenia or died and was living in hell.

Will the serpent Fire Tummo help me with what I am experiencing mentally?

Much thanks for your response Sigmund.

Thank you Jeff for your response as well.

I appreciate you guys taking the time to help me out with this.

Also is what I am experiencing Kundalini arousal verses Kundalini awakening?

Sigmund

What I mean by manipulation is anything and everything except staying out of the way and even expressing gratitude, as odd as that may seem.  I suspect that would go a long way to easing your suffering.

As you're concerned with your physical health, have you seen a doctor lately just to see  how you're doing, if nothing else?  Also, if your doctor say's you're in good health and can bear it, it seems as if seeing a chiropractor is in order.  K prefers a straight spine.  Being out of adjustment alone can make things worse.

The severity of your physical reactions indicates that you either have severe blocks or/and are seriously getting in the way of your k as it moves through you.

In answer to your questions about Tummo and whether or not it can be effective, I suggest opening the page and just sitting with it, and perhaps randomly dropping in here and there just to see what reactions your body has.

Hi!
Yes, regular visits to chiropractor,  bone setter etc. might help you at least a bit. When kundalini flow is blocked perhaps in your neck, it can create mental confusion, paranoid thoughts and whatnot. I know from my own experience :)

Thanks again Sigmund.  You say that the Tummo results in a fully awakened kundalini in 95% of receptive individuals.  What is a fully awakened kundalini?  Is what I am experiencing right now kundalini arousal vs awakening? Does a full awakening mean the snake movement leaves the body?

Hi!  Thanks for the reply.  I do have a pretty bad kink in my neck and head on the right side from K.  Would you mind sharing your experiences with me?  Can I e-mail you?
