I have been experiencing a gradual awakening of Kundalini for the last 10-12 months.  This may be part of a shamanic initiation or it may not.  I am not certain.  But I am presently interested in both tantra and shamanism.  I do eventaully wish to be able to use the energy to heal people in some way shape or form.   I am not certain that the Kundlini Energy is finished rising as I am getting rashes on my root and throat chakra presently.  So I am guessing that the energy is still cleaning out my system.    But I can definitely feel the energy in my head.  Would the Serpent Tantra Training be valuable to me at this point?   

Also, is Kundalini contagious?  My wife is not presently experiencing a spiritual awakening like I am.  But when we are intimate, she gets yeast like infections.  she is now showing signs of hypothyroidism.  She wants to address this with her doctor but I feel she may just want to ride this out for a while as if it is kundalini related, the docs might do more harm than good.   Any input you might have for me would be greatly appreciated.

As far as Kundalini being contagious, we routinely resonate with what other people are feeling.  Sometimes more, sometime less.  As far as the symptoms you report, have you two seen a doctor recently?  If yeast goes untreated, it can cause unnecessary harm and pain.  You may be transmitting it to her unknowingly.  When you know where things stand physically, you'll have a stronger foundation for spiritual pursuits.  Antibiotics won't interfere with Kundalini.  They work on different systems.  If I were you, I'd also ask about a gentle physical, perhaps herbal, detox as well.

  When people get an idea they want to "use" Kundalini it always leads to problems. Get your ego out of the way and let go of your personal desires and plans for your future.

  The desire to be a healer is most always ego based, Goddess sees the world as perfect. 

My desirte to be a healer stems from having someone in my life that I feel healed me. 

But I can certainly accept whatever the future holds.  If being a healer or shaman is in the cards, that's wonderful.  If not, I will accept whatever comes my way.

  Genuine Shamans are born to the work, the wierdness starts in your crib and never lets up.  Sounds like you are having a kundalini awakening.

  Yeast infections in women can be a sign of feeling pressured into sex. Has your sex drive increased since your awakening in a way that your wife might not be fully comfortable with?

   Additionally, sex is a complicated spiritual act, when you come inside her you are giving her a mixed bag of love, lust, Shakti and what ever karma and stress your own body might be releasing at the time. Try to hold the intention that you love your wife but the karma you release goes to Kali for hot lunch menu.

  Of course, it could be something mundane, like an allergy to a new brand of soap, or you actually have a yeast infection.  Men can have them, bloated belly and a craving for carbs is a clue and candida can lead to leaky gut syndrome and all kinds of allergies. Best to get a naturopath to sort it out.
